In our opinion the best quality of cotton is still the Egyptian one. The reason is because the staple of the Egyptian cotton is longer compared to the others and this is garantee for a better yarn, as it is more durable and it has more strenght. The cotton we use is then gazed (it is a process to burn all the impurities of the thread), mercerized (process to make it stronger and brighter) and then undergoes the process for colour.
There are different counts of cotton (the count it is the meter to calculate how fine it is the yarn). The best ones for socks are the 90/2 and the 120/2.
90/2 means there are 90.000 meters in 2 threads each kilo of yarn.
